Call Me If You Need a Fool (partial)

Call Me If You Need a Fool (full)

Eric Ellis-banjo and baritone vocals; Dave Haney, guitar and vocals; Nick Chandler-mandolin, David Johnson and Bobby Hicks--fiddles, Ron Swann-lead and tenor vocals, Billy Gee, bass and bass vocals

From Eric Ellis, Every Night Before Breakfast–the debut solo album by this Wilkesboro, NC, banjo player. The recording was supported by a grant from the North Carolina  Arts Council written by students in Dave’s "Bluegrass Traditions" course at Appalachian State. Dave sings an early Steve Earle song here (little known fact–Ken Irwin of Rounder Records pitched this song to Del McCoury after hearing Dave sing it on the radio in Boston in the late 1980s, which led to Del’s recording of this song, with a new third verse by Steve Earle, and Del’s association with Steve Earle)
